According to the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC), the infection chain was discovered from two index patients, cases 9612 and 9613. The two people worked at a mechanical engineering company in Ap Moi 1, commune.

`Patient 9612` (father-in-law) and 9613 (son-in-law), had fever symptoms from June 5, and on June 8 were examined at Thong Nhat Hospital and tested positive for nCoV.

9612’s younger brother, who worked at the same mechanical workshop, had symptoms and went to Trung Vuong Hospital for examination on the same day, June 8, and also tested positive for nCoV.

From here, through the process of investigation and tracing, the city discovered a chain of infection related to these three patients.

Family 9612 includes wife 9611 residing in Tan Thanh Dong commune, Cu Chi and 4 children 9615, 9616, 9617, 9620. In the case of the wife – case 9611, on May 30, she had symptoms of fever.

Case 9504 worked in the kitchen of a hotel in Tan Binh and had respiratory symptoms so she went to the Hoan My Saigon Clinic on June 6.

Case 9613 is the son-in-law of 9612 and 9611. This person has a wife, 9617. Case 9613 lives in the same house with his biological mother, 9618, and daughter, 9619, also in Tan Thanh Dong commune, Cu Chi district.

9614 (younger brother of 9612), residing in Tan Binh, has wife 9621 and is in contact with married couples 9622 and 9623, residing in Binh Chanh.

According to HCDC, as of June 10, 28 patients related to this chain were announced by the Ministry of Health.

From 6:00 p.m. on June 9 to 6:00 p.m. on June 10, Ho Chi Minh City recorded 61 new cases of infection, announced by the Ministry of Health.

These 61 cases include 28 cases in the series mentioned above, 21 cases related to the Renaissance Mission group that were previously quarantined and tested negative for nCoV, with samples taken for subsequent testing.
