The evaluation results in Ha Giang showed that 330 exams of 114 candidates had their scores increased.
In Son La, 44 candidates with 95 multiple-choice tests and 2 Literature tests had appraisal scores lower than the announced scores.
Of the 108 candidates in Hoa Binh, Son La, one student did not qualify to graduate from high school, 13 students were not on the university or college admission list, and the remaining one student entered the national high school exam in 2017.
Particularly, 12 candidates with assessment scores not lower than the admission score are being allowed by schools to continue studying.
114 candidates in Hoa Binh, Son La, Ha Giang have had their 2018 national high school exam scores raised.
Thus, all three provinces of Ha Giang, Hoa Binh and Son La have 51 students whose scores on the 2018 national high school exam were raised and are still studying at universities and colleges.
The Minister of Education and Training emphasized that the publication of information related to the investigation process such as candidates’ identities and related subjects will only be fully disclosed after the agency’s investigation process has ended.

On July 11, 2018, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the national high school exam results.
It took until March 2019 for the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Education and Training to conclude the investigation and announce the appraisal scores in Hoa Binh and Son La.
According to regulations, the assessment score is the candidate’s official score, used for graduation and university admission.
Currently, 19 education officials and police from three provinces of Ha Giang, Son La, and Hoa Binh have been prosecuted, but the heads of the education sector and the exam steering committee in the three provinces have not yet been prosecuted.
