Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoai, Chairman of Quang Binh People’s Committee assessed: `Mr. Howard Limbert has a decisive role, being the first person to directly explore and discover caves in Quang Binh.

Mr. Howard Limbert also advised Quang Binh province to promote the world heritage Phong Nha – Ke Bang, using the unique value of Quang Binh caves for socio-economic development.

Thanks to the caves discovered by the British Royal expedition, Quang Binh tourism is increasingly flourishing.

At the medal receiving ceremony, Mr. Limbert thanked the authorities of Quang Binh, Hanoi University of Natural Sciences, indigenous people… for helping him during his expeditions.

Having spent most of his life in Quang Binh, Mr. Limbert said he has only explored about 25% of the area of ​​Phong Nha – Ke Bang national park.

The world’s largest cave, Son Doong, has been assigned to Oxalis LLC for exclusive tourism exploitation since 2013. In the first 2 years, the cave welcomed 243 visitors and was licensed to welcome 500 visitors in 2015. Expedition tour

Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoai shared that there is no plan to exploit tourism in this cave in 2016. `The province is asking Mr. Howard Limbert for advice to further promote the value of Son Doong cave, and from there come up with an exploitation plan.
