Grade 12 students of Middle School – Ly Van Lam High School arrived at school on the morning of April 20.

At Ly Van Lam Secondary – High School (Ca Mau City), around 6:30 a.m., all students came to school wearing masks and entered the gate one by one.

While rearranging tables and chairs with her friends, Thai Bang Tam, a student of class 12C3, said that in order to ensure knowledge for the national high school exam, she has been on break recently but she still regularly exchanges exercises with her friends and classmates.

`I really wanted to hug my friends but I couldn’t because the teachers had announced in advance that we had to keep a distance,` Bang Tam shared.

Ly Van Lam Middle and High School has 526 students in grades 9 and 12. To ensure distancing in Covid-19 prevention, the school has divided large classes into 2-3 classes.

After a few minutes entering the classroom to greet and ask about the students’ home learning situation, Mr. Pham Van Nguyen, a Physics teacher, began to systematize knowledge for the students.

Mr. Phan Thanh Van, Deputy Principal of Ly Van Lam Middle and High School, said that the current difficulty is arranging the teaching schedule when classes increase due to the implementation of a distance of 2 m.

Also in Ca Mau City, Ho Thi Ky High School has more than 1,000 students in grades 9 and 12. Implementing physical distancing, the school has divided 14 12th grades into 28 classes;

To prevent epidemics, the four entrance gates to the school will be divided into two gates for grade 9 and two gates for grade 12. At the same time, the school also coordinates with the Ward People’s Committee, security team and youth union to propagate.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Luan, Director of Ca Mau Department of Education and Training, said that the whole province has 13,000 9th grade students and 9,000 12th grade students. This morning, 96.52% of 9th grade students went to school, for the first grade.

Regarding the program, according to Mr. Luan, for grade 9, the subjects are taught: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, and Foreign Languages.

Ca Mau is one of 36 localities in the low-risk group according to the division of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention.
