On January 17, the family of pregnant woman Ngoc Minh (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City) took her daughter out of the hospital, preparing to celebrate the first Tet with her family.

`This Tet, my baby weighs nearly 2.9 kg, I drink 60-70 ml of milk each time, I’m healthy, I exercise my arms and legs more,` Ms. Minh said.

Minh’s child was born early, weighing nearly 860 grams, and was raised for 3 months in the hospital.

Minh and her husband have been married for 3 years and have no children.

Doctors from the Obstetrics and Gynecology Center diagnosed Ms. Minh at risk of bleeding, which could lead to hypovolemic shock, blood clotting disorders, low platelets… The patient was given fluids to treat dengue fever.

Ms. Minh had a cesarean section by Doctor Le Thanh Hung on the morning of October 29 when the fetus was 25 weeks and 5 days old, weighing 860 grams.

The baby was born extremely prematurely, causing respiratory failure and severe malnutrition.

The next month, Ms. Minh moved to the Neonatal Center to stay with the baby to incubate the Kangaroo and take care of the baby.

According to Dr. Chuong, babies born extremely prematurely, with low birth weight, have a potential risk of respiratory failure, brain and lung hemorrhage, necrotizing enterocolitis, infections, blood sugar disorders and jaundice… poor survival ability.

Nearly 2 months in a modern newborn incubator, cared for by professional nurses at the Neonatal Center.

Before being discharged from the hospital, the patient was comprehensively screened after birth and had good health results.
