This content is a new point in the Guide to home health care packages for F0 people updated by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health on November 23, replacing the previous version at the end of August.

This move was made in the context of increasing F0 numbers, leading to an increase in seriously ill patients;

In the new guidelines, other home isolation criteria remain the same: F0 asymptomatic or mild symptoms, no respiratory distress, SpO2 index above 96%, respiratory rate below 20 times/minute.

F0 quarantined at home must be able to take care of themselves such as eating, bathing, washing clothes, and cleaning;

Medical staff in Linh Tay ward (Thu Duc city) examined and gave medicine to F0 for treatment at home, September 3.

F0 at home are given leaflets with instructions on self-care and health monitoring, and medicine to treat Covid-19.

F0 feels short of breath (shortness of breath, difficulty breathing increases with exercise, resting breathing rate over 20 times per minute or SpO2 measurement below 96%) should immediately contact the medical staff managing F0 for advice.

In this new guidance, drug package B is not widely distributed.

Patients showing signs of serious illness will be guided by medical staff, given emergency treatment, and transported to the hospital by the rapid response team.

F0 samples were taken for testing at home (RT-PCR or rapid antigen test) on day 14 to prepare for the end of the quarantine period.

Ho Chi Minh City currently records nearly 457,000 Covid-19 cases, announced by the Ministry of Health.

To date, Ho Chi Minh City has administered more than 7.8 million first doses and more than 6 million second doses of Covid-19 vaccines.
