The song When We Are Old, composed by Hong Phuoc, was accused of plagiarizing author Viet Ha’s poetry on the day of its release on February 12.

In an online response on February 21, Hong Phuoc said he actively contacted the author to exchange information but he found this solution inappropriate.

Contacting Hong Phuoc’s manager, the male singer said that Hong Phuoc has currently sent a request to music sites asking to remove the lyrics of the song When We Get Old, only keeping the beat.

Author Viet Ha said that she was on a business trip in Phu Yen so she could not follow Hong Phuoc’s online answer session.
