Qatar became the first World Cup host in history to leave the tournament without winning any points, after losing three matches to Ecuador, Senegal and the Netherlands.

Gakpo celebrates opening the score in the third consecutive match for the Netherlands at the 2022 World Cup, at Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor city, Qatar on the evening of November 29.

Gakpo debuted for the Dutch team at the age of 22, at Euro 2021 as a substitute.

The Netherlands finished 13 times in the match, while Qatar only had five chances.

The European representative once put the ball into the net in the 68th minute with Steven Berghuis’s close-range shot, but the goal was not recognized because Gakpo let the ball touch his hand while creating the opportunity.
