Sharing the same opinion, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Ngoc Dong said that the most difficult thing about metro is still management and operation, because the metro system in Ho Chi Minh City is funded by many countries, each country has a different standard.
In response to these opinions, Mr. Hoang Nhu Cuong – Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board said that Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has agreed on the view that there is only one company operating all metro lines invested by

On the side of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Vice Chairman Tat Thanh Cang proposed to the National Assembly’s Science, Technology and Environment Committee to have a general assessment of projects using ODA loans.
According to Mr. Cang, there needs to be a policy mechanism to both support attracting people to use the metro with reasonable fares but also ensure loan repayment.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Phan Xuan Dung – Chairman of the National Assembly’s Science, Technology and Environment Committee acknowledged Ho Chi Minh City’s efforts in implementing urban railway projects.
